Is used to treat Moles, skin tags, age spots, and blemishes. Electrical current is passed through a very fine needle similar to an eyelash, so fine and localised that only a small amount of discomfort may be experienced. However, numbing cream will be applied. The heat generated is used to cauterise the tissue and destroys the targeted tissue.The process initiates the healing response and eliminates the damaged tissue
Healing Process
For a few days after treatment the area maybe sensitive and shows signs of redness and a little swelling for deeper lesions. There may be scabbing, and a dressing maybe applied for a short period of time. Provided that the correct aftercare instructions are followed, and no infection can develop, the risk of scaring are minimal.
Some of the deeper lesions may leave a faint residue mark on lighter skin or of deeper pigmentation. Raised scarring or keloid scarring are issues that will prevent or restrict your treatment . Usually, a 1 hour appointment is set the time taken to treat any number of blemishes, depends on the size and nature of the problem
It is important that the area is not over worked. Therefore, treatments are spaced out at regular intervals, which will be explained at your consultation.
